・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Jasper wasn't sure what had happened, and he was more than just a little scared. His sister was pressed against him, though, and that gave him some comfort, but he didn't like this at all. Maybe it would have been better for the dark kit if the blanket was enough to cover his vision, or if he were warmer. Pressing against his sister, he glanced up as a flash of color went across his vision, hope in his eyes for just a moment. Upon realizing that it was a stranger, he glanced away, attempting to press closer against his sister in an attempt for both warmth and comfort. The sudden motion of snow being brushed off his fur made him jump, and he began to shiver from a mixture of fear, confusion and the cold. He didn't know what was going on, but he did know that he wanted to be in the warmth where he could sleep and eat.
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Even with Jasper pressed against his much larger sister, he was still watching the other serval, flinching back slightly as the other pressed their nose against his cheek. Despite how scared he was, it managed to calm him just a little, although he still stayed pressed against his sister's side. As he watched, his sister reached out a paw, pressing it against the scars on the older serval's face. As she withdrew her paw, he flinched from the cold, attempting to press even closer to her. A flash of color caught his attention, and he watched as the older feline did something with a cloth, a rush of warmth following after. The purr from the adult made him hesitate, jut for a moment, but when Nerys echoed the purring, he followed suit, folding his legs under him and lowering his head. Between the new warmth and that from his sister, he was growing a bit sleepy.
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Jasper wasn't sure what to think of the autographs, but Nerys was here! The tiny serval followed behind his big sister, walking as fast as he could. He didn't want an autograph, but he wasn't going to just stay away while his sister headed over. As he reached her, he looked up at the big dog, his ears pinning slightly against his head. He was too tall and too scary for him! Attempting to press against Nerys, he whispered his thoughts to her. "Too tall."
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Okay, so he may have been more than a little late to the meeting, with all the clanmates being around. At first, he was going to stay away, but he saw Pierce in the crowd, and Nerys beside him. They were the only two he knew, so far, and so he slipped forwards after a few moments of hesitance, to his sister's side. "Sorry." He whispered to them, an apology for how late he was. As he watched, a clanmate stood up, saying something about autographs. That was..odd.
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Well, this wasn't what he had expected to see on his first adventure alone. He was hesitant as he moved closer, just in time to see the kitten run away from the group. Stopping in his tracks, he gave the others a questioning glance. Just what was going on? Moving forwards, he attempted to stop the kitten. "You should eat first."[ His voice was hesitant, and he was unsure of himself, but it seemed like the next best step.
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Jasper flinched at the sudden hiss, his ears pinning against his skull and his eyes widening. This isn't what he had been expecting. He had just been trying to help! Feeling at a loss for words, he watched as the kit headed towards the underbrush before glancing at his clanmates.
What now?
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Jasper wasn't so sure of what to think. He didn't have a blanket, either, although he wished that he did. Maybe someone else would. Heading to his sister's side, he attempted to press against her, watching the new kit with wide eyes. Maybe Nerys would know what was going on more than him. As someone else headed over, conjuring a blanket, he spoke up,voice a bit hesitant, as he looked down at his paws. "What happened to them?"
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - The ashy remains of the camp made Jasper more than a little sad, but maybe he could take his mind off of it. This would be a good idea, right? It'd let him get away for a few minutes. Nerys wasn't here, nor Pierce, but he headed over anyways. Maybe they'd show up later. "Can I go?"
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Jasper, on the other hand, was more than happy to be sheltered. He was a bit afraid of fighting, and his small size would only make it even harder to fight. Maybe it was best if he just sat out. Taking a seat a small distance away, he called out. "I'm just going to watch." Surely it'd still help, right? He'd be able to get an idea of what to do, at least.
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - So, the much smaller feline's parents had been hurt, and they were now gone? Jasper's ears pinned against his head at the thought. "They didn't even say where they were going or anything?" It didn't seem right, that they had just left their child behind. At his father's next question, Jasper sent his twin a glance, wondering what she would say. "It's....Okay with me?" His voice was more than a little hesitant, and he shuffled his paws, waiting on his sister's reaction.
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Jasper, although he may not openly admit it, was a bit protective of his younger adopted brother. Rys was bigger than him, and she was proving to be the fighter of the two, but so far he didn't know much about the newest addition to the family. Despite the fact that he was older, and taller, and that he wanted to make sure nothing happened. Sitting down in the snow, he watched as his brother galloped around, shouting something about Romeo. The serval wasn't too sure what that was, but alarm went through him as the younger clanmate fell into the pile of snow, and he was standing on his paws. "Are you okay?" His question was unneeded, for his sibling got up a moment later, yelling something about being a ghost.

Tracking with protective older brother.
Maybe threads with Jas trying to protect him?

・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Jasper hadn't really known Isoletta, but he knew that his adopted father was close to her. Anyone who his father liked had to be a good person, right? The tiny serval had been planning on making a gift for his father, his siblings, but he had been distracted by the sight of Pierce heading to a den with a painting. His ears perking forwards, he watched as the much older serval hurried over, inside the den, leaving the painting. For once, Jasper was hit by a sense of dread, and he headed over as fast as he could, pushing the ideas for gifts to the back of his mind for now. As he headed over, he saw his adopted father lift a paw to his eyes. Hesitating, he spoke up, his voice quieter than usual, unsure of what he was supposed to say. "A-Are you okay?" As soon as the words were out of his mouth, he regretted it. Of course he wasn't; it seemed like something was wrong! Without waiting for an answer, he moved to press against his father, hoping it would be some sort of comfort.
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Jasper had just meant to be exploring, having some time to himself to think. He wasn't sure why he had wandered away. Usually, he would have been by his twin sister's side, but he hadn't seen her yet today. His attention had been drawn away by the faint scent of a clanmate. Curiosity got the best of him, and he headed towards the scent, only realizing that something was off when the tang of blood was added to it. A lot of blood, at that. His pace quickened; maybe the clanmate needed help! All too quickly, however, he stopped in his tracks. The lynx swung from a branch, and it took a few moments for the tiny serval to notice where the blood scent had came from. His heart hammered in his chest; he wanted to leave, get someone to help, or at least call for someone. He couldn't move, couldn't take his eyes off the scene in front of him. Finally, his jaws opened, although the words that came out were barely a whisper, only audible to his own ears. "Someone help." He needed to try it again. He needed to get help, he needed to do something. This time, when he called out, his voice was louder, piercing even to himself. "Someone help!"
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Jasper didn't feel anything. Where he should have been upset, he just felt numb. Maybe it was the shock of seeing the body. That had to be it. Antigone's whisper made him jump, sending a jolt through him and allowing him to go back to his senses. Well, partially. Enough to know that he had to do something to comfort his younger brother. He would have went to his side, but he was still frozen in place, still unable to tear his gaze away from the scene in front of him. "Don't look, Anti." Now that the call had gone out, Jasper's voice had gone back to the whisper. He doubted Anti would be able to look away, since he wasn't able to, but it was worth a try. He didn't know how long he stood there until Pierce's arrival. The scent of his father was a bit comforting, but not enough. It wasn't until words were directed to him that he was broken out of whatever trance he had been in. As he turned his gaze to his father, he opened his jaws to speak, then cast his younger brother a glance. Although he wanted to know who did this, and why they would, he'd ask later. Antigone had been through too much today; talking about the sight would only make it worse. Heading to his brother's side, he attempted to give him a gentle nudge. "Come on. Let's get you home." Maybe it would help to try and get his mind off of it. Talk to someone about it. Someone he could talk to it about, of course.
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - Jasper was a bit late to the meeting, but he was there. He was a bit hesitant, although when he caught sight of his father, he moved forwards. Hopefully the older serval wouldn't notice the lack of sleep he had gotten the night before. The thought of the body had kept him up for a good portion of the night, but he was fine now. He hoped that he was fine, at least. The thought still lingered in his head, but he had to push it away for now. Taking a seat next to Pierce, he glanced up at his adopted father, offering a forced smile.
-
・゚ ✦ ° NOT YOUR BABY - The next to join Jasper and his adopted father was Antigone. Offering his smaller brother a smile, just as forced as the first one, he scanned the crowd for any sign of his sister. He didn't see her yet, and the thought sent a wave of confusion through him. Usually she was here sooner than he was. Although he didn't give voice to this, it was still enough to make him a bit worried. Before he could worry about it too much, the meeting began, and Jasper turned his attention to Aleksei as he began to speak. There was only one activity warning, going to a clanmate called Mike. No demotions this meeting, which was good. Jasper didn't like seeing others demoted, even if it was for a good reason. Next came shoutouts, and...The serval froze as he heard his name. Antigone's name. Blue eyes shining, a real smile slowly crept up his jaw as he turned to his father and brother. The praise from his father only made him happier. "Good job, Anti!" He praised his younger brother, feeling a bit proud of him. "Congrats to everyone promoted!" Finally, his sister was there. "You'll get a shoutout next meeting. I'm sure of it." He wasn't, exactly, but if it helped her, then it would work either way, right? Lowering his voice, he added, "honestly, I wasn't expecting to get one."
